Today our Church’s propagation is that ‘Jesus saves sinners’.But in this
regard one doubt can be raised whether Jesus saves the every sinner, who always
commit sins? or he saves that persons only those who turn from all their sins,
which they had been doing in the past, and determined to do only that which is the
right? If we pay heed in the reading of Bible we can understand that Jesus saves
only those persons who turn from all their sins with repentant hearts, and do only
what is right.

And a great deal of moral values and good behaviour and righteousness were
found in their nature, who were living in the time of Jesus . But today even though
the gospel spreads abundantly there appears no increase in the moral values in
the society. The best example for this is what all defects are existing in others, the
same are also prevelant more in christian community. As regards to the others as
they do not have beliefe in God and do not have repentance and baptism and
hence it is but reasonable to have all the diffects taking root in them. But what
would be the reason for all such defects taking a significant place in the Christian
community ? This is very considerable and serious question . Therefore every
Christian scholar should ascertain the appropriate answer to this question before
he goes for the preaching of the gospel.

The main reason for this disastrous condition is that the Gospel, which is
being propagated by the preachers, is not clear to the christians themselves. For
example, one important point, in which they have been confoudedly involved in is
whether ‘ Jesus saves every sinner? or saves only them, who give up all
sins ?’.But on contrary to this we can hear abundantly in the present preachings
of the Gospel that ‘Jesus saves sinners’ thereby a common person mistakes its
meaning as there is no problem whether one must give up the sins or not.

But if we pay attention on the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels, we can notice
conspicuously that ‘Jesus saves only them who discard the sinful life and repent
and turn towars God with all righteous deeds. There is no answer from the
present pastors that what would be the fate of those that proclaim repentance and
take baptisam and still continue in their previous sinful life not discarding it. Therefore
observe the exhortation of Jesus as regards to this matter in the following
verse.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto
him, behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse
thing come unto thee. The man departed, and told the Jews
tha tit was Jesus, which had made him whole. -John 5:14-15

Jesus himself says the above verse. On close examination of it, some important
points come into light. The first point of them is that Jesus warned him, who
had been healed by Jesus [ forgiven of his sins]. Second point is the warning that
he should ‘SIN NO MORE’, and this is to mean that one should not commit any
sin again after ones own repentance. And the third point is that Why should not
we commit sin again after repentance? The answer is (lest a worse thing come
unto thee). This is to mean as sying lest one may fall into greater sin than what he
had before to his repentance.
