WHAT IS THE REALITY OF NEW TESTAMENT MADE BY JESUS?

In the name of God most Merciful and Beneficent.

What the argument of so many preachers is that Jesus has made the New Testament with his blood. To prove their argument they show the following verse.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”  Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. – Matthew 26:26, 27

What the presumption of so many preachers of these days is that- Jesus has destroyed the Law of Moses and he made the New Testament with his blood to be forgiven the sin. If it is true, then what we have to observe that-

1). Did Jesus ever destroyed the Law of Moses and give the New Law like Moses?
                                                    OR
2)  Did Jesus make the New Law along with the Law of Moses?

So many believe that the first thing has happened out of the above mentioned two points. That is why “the moral practice” is impaired and remained only the belief in the present day Christianity. If anybody says that Jesus has destroyed the Law, this means he indirectly says that Jesus has destroyed the moral boundaries of Law and has given the free license to one to do the sinful deeds undoubtedly whatever one wishes like prostitution, murders, robberies etc., which were once prohibited by God in the Law of Moses? But due to so many are imagining that Jesus has destroyed the Law, in turn the morality is degrading day by day and immorality is pervaded in the Christianity as compared with the non-Christian communities. If Jesus has come to destroy the exiting Law of Moses and to establish the new Law could Jesus ever have proclaimed as-

Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. – Matthew 5:17

If the intention of Jesus is to destroy the Law of Moses he never have proclaimed as above and he could not have ordered to his dispels that they have to strictly adhere the commandments what he taught in his gospel according to the Law of Moses as follows.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. – Matthew 28:19, 20

If Jesus has appointed for establishing the new Law destroying the existing Law of Moses why Jesus says as “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets I did not come to destroy but to fulfill?” And when after his crucifixion what for he ordered to his dispels “observe all things that I have commanded you?” Jesus has commanded all things according to the Law of Moses. Now let us see did Jesus give another Law along with the Law of Moses in the following.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. – John1:17
According to the above verse it is crystal clear that “Law was given by Moses and truth came through Jesus Christ.” This means to say Law was given by Moses but not by Jesus therefore Jesus is not the Law giver but what was given by Jesus? Is that- “Grace” and “Truth” but not the new Law.

In fact, eating the bread and wine on the occasion of Passover festival is the old custom of Jews but not newly introduced by Jesus. Therefore preaching as- “Jesus has established New Testament by destroying the Old Testament” can be regarded outright meaningless.

Now the question is whether the grace and truth only remain having been destroyed the Law or the grace and truth also continue along with the Law? Let us see the answer of Jesus in the following corroborative verse for this question.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. – Matthew 23:23

What noteworthy in the above verse is that- “without leaving the others undone” means “without leaving the moral principles which are the weightier matters of the Law.” To say in clear terms it should not be neglected in any way the weightier matters of the Law those are justice and mercy and faith” which were given by Jesus. When anybody shows the “grace and mercy” towards his companions then his love turns into the sacrifice. The pinnacle for this is that one can ready to sacrifice even his life for the others. In fact, that is the “New Testament blood” means “To sacrifice for others.” Therefore one have to make covenant with the sacrifice of Jesus means showing the ultimate love and grace for others but not with the blood shed on the cross. As against to this, the then Jews have wished the blood of Jesus by saying as-

His blood be on us and on our children (Matthew 27:25).

Thus they were cursed by making the covenant with the blood shed on the cross and even they were cursed by Jesus as “How can you escape the condemnation of hell? (Matthew 23:33).

Now let us see what for Jesus has ordered to eat his flesh and drink his blood? And why Jesus has made the covenant with the bread and wine comparing them with his flesh and blood.

WHAT IS THE REALITY OF EATING THE FLESH AND OF DRINKING THE BLOOD OF JESUS?
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. – John 6:56

Did Jesus teach this verse in the literal meaning or metaphorical meaning? If Jesus has taught in the literal meaning, then one should note that Jesus did not give his small piece of the flesh and a single drop of the blood taking from his body. Having listening this command, if the dispels of Jesus misunderstand it in literal meaning they immediately would have eaten the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus tearing up his bloody! But they did not do so. Moreover, it has been commanded strongly by Jehovah as “ Whoever eats any blood, that person shall be cut off from his people (Lev 27:7)” This means it is made clear that Jesus did not ever command to eat his biological body and blood in literal meaning. But what the intention of Jesus in saying figuratively as “eat my flesh and drink my blood” is that- “one should abide in him” as well as “Jesus would abide in one.” That is why Jesus says as “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him” The dispels have well understood this point that is why they reiterate the same point what Jesus has taught in his gospel as follows.

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. – 1 John 3:24

As a matter of fact, the commandment what Jesus has given figuratively saying “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him” the same was taught by John the dispel of Jesus as above. According to this it is made clear that what the reason for Jesus was teaching as “eat my flesh and drink my blood” is that- it is nothing but the metaphorical description for “following his commandments.” To know in clear, we have to observe the flowing teaching of Jesus.

As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will live because of Me. – John 6:57

According to this in what way Jesus lives? He is living “because of Father.” Then how can one live by Jesus? Answer is- “one who feeds on Jesus” means one who eats Jesus he lives by him. The inner meaning of it is- one who follows the commandments of Jesus as it is one lives by Jesus. Therefore it is made clear that Jesus lives because of his Father. The inner meaning of it is- Jesus also lives because of following the commandments of God. Figuratively we can say that Jesus lives because of eating the flesh and drinking the blood of God. The same thing Jesus makes clear as follows.

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. –John 15:10

According to the above verse the answer for the question that “how one can live by Jesus?” is that- just as how Jesus lives because of his Father following the commandments of Him as it is, in the same way one can live by Jesus when one follow his teachings as it is.

Therefore what the reason for Jesus has taught metaphorically to eat the bread and wine comparing them with his flesh and blood is that- because of making people to follow completely the teachings what he has given for salvation. But it is not the intention of Jesus to keep his blood as an armor to the sinners or just to time pass celebrating the rituals with bread and wine in the churches leading their life with the own wish. As a matter of fact Jesus has condemned to believe his biological flesh and blood as follows.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. – John 6:63

Thus “to be forgiven the sins and to get the salvation” what Jesus has given easy solution is that- following his commandments as it is that he has been given by God which we can see in the following verse.

And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told me, so I speak. - John 12:50

But Jesus did not command saying as “believe my biological flesh and blood “to be forgiven the sins and to get salvation.” That is why on one hand Jesus says as “the flesh profits nothing” on the other hand Paul also says same thing that “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor 15:50)” In this way although Jesus and Paul says that believing the flesh and blood of Jesus becomes vain to get the kingdom of God, how far it is correct to preach as “believing the blood of Jesus is only solution for the salvation” as against to the teachings of Jesus?

WHAT IS THE FIGURATIVR MEANING OF EATING THE FLESH AND BLOOD?

As a matter of fact, Jesus has ordered to eat his flesh and drink blood in the figurative manner so as to make his dispels to follow his commandments and ideology as it is. John the dispel of Jesus had reiterated the same thing as follows.

The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:7

So if anybody leads his life being in the imagination as “Jesus has already shed his blood as a penalty on behalf of my sins therefore no need of fearing for my sins!” One who is this type of imagination then first of all one can be morally degraded. The great proof for it is that we find the Christian countries where the maximum number of Christians live, are to be recorded in the list of top ten countries which are involved in deadly crimes and sinful deeds like prostitution, murders, rapes and robberies etc.

Therefore…
1). What “the Blood” that a believer must believe is that- the blood what Jesus has given to drink figuratively beforehand his crucifixion (John 6:54) so as to follow his commandments and ideology as it is.

2). What “the blood” that a believer should not believe in any way is that- the cursed blood what Jews have wished cruelly attributing the so many false allegations on Jesus to crucify him by hook and crook through the roman government. Thus Jews by wishing his blood cruelly saying as- “His blood be on us and on our children (Matthew 27:25)” they have lost their great prominent status once bestowed by God that “My elect people” (Mat 21:43). Not only this, but they were cursed by Jesus due to their great sin of wishing his blood crucifying him attributing the false allegations as follows.
Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? – Matthew 21:43
But unfortunately the same blood is being propagated by the so many preachers of these days as a salvation. Therefore what we understand by so far discussion is that- Jesus did not give the new Law as Moses but he was followed by the same Law of Jesus. And why Jesus has made the New Testament with the bread and wine comparing them with his flesh and blood and ordered to them to eat is that- so as to make them to follow his commandments and ideology. In fact, eating the bread and wine on the occasion of Passover festival is the old custom of Jews but not newly introduced by Jesus. Therefore preaching as Jesus has established New Testament by destroying the Old Testament can be regarded meaningless. May God bestow the knowledge to understand these points discussed in the light of Bible. –Amen.
