There is none Holy as the Lord... -I Samuel 2:2
This is to mean as saying that there is no any god as holy as Jehovah.
Who is the worthy of praise?
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And
all the people said, Amen, And praised the Lord
-I Chronicles 16:36
Blessed are thou, O Lord... -Psalms 119:12
If, only Jehovah is worthy of praise then what about the other gods? The
answer for this question is that they are not as worthy of praise as Jehovah.
Who is the God of endless knowledge?
The Lord is a god of knowledge... -I Samuel 2:3
This is to mean as saying that only one Jehovah is God of endless knowledge
means only He is the possessor of unlimited knowledge and the remaining gods
have only the limited knowledge to the extant as have been conferred by Him.
To which God should we give thanks?
O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth
for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of Lords; for his mercy
endureth for ever -Psalms 136:2-3
For he Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of Lords... -deuteronomy 10:17
From the above verses there are two important points come into light: Viz.,
1. Jehovah is God of gods and the Lord of Lords, this is to mean that even if
there are many persons called as gods and lords they are not so great as
Jehovah. They are only so called gods with limited powers conferred by
God to carry out the orders of God as His submissive servants. That is why only one Jehovah is called the greatest above all.
2. We should give our thanks only to Jehovah, who is the God of gods, and
should not praise any other in the capacity of God. It means only Jehovah is
to be praised above all and remaining all so called gods praise Him.
Which God has all aptitudes?
An Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the
earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there
is nothing too hard for thee -Jeremiah 32:17
According to above verse it is evident that the remaining gods are not the
almighty gods and lords and are not the creators of any thing. Even if they have
any capability to perform any thing they can do it only to that extent and cannot
surpass to their conferred limits. While all things are possible only to one Jehovah.
Who is the worthy of worship above all gods?
For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be
feared above all gods -Psalms 96:4
In this regard every christian should examine himself carefully that to whom he
is worshipping. Because the above verse discloses that only Jehovah should be
praised. It means one "Jehovah is to be praised above all and remaining all gods
worship Him.
To whom all gods worship?
...Worship him, all ye gods -Psalms 97:7
All gods bowdown their heads before Jehovah in worship. Therefore all human
beings should also worship Him only. And the above verse discloses the
point that Jehovah is the worthy of worship above all and all the remaining gods
worship Him.
Who is the true God of all gods?
But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God and an
everlasting king... -Jeremiah 10:10
The Lord God of gods, the Lord God of gods...-Joshua 22:22
In the above two verses one important point is stressed that only one Jehovah
is the true God. It means if there is any existence of any person in the name of God
that is only one Jehovah, even though many persons are called as gods they are
nothing but the nominal and are so called gods. Except one Jehovah there is no
any true God as propounded by the Bible.
