According to John 1:1 it is mentioned that "In the beginning was the word",
but here the question is who is that ‘word’? The real meaning of the ‘word’ is that
which we have discussed in the above topic about the 'Logos'. As a matter of
fact that Logos is called as the ‘word’, which was in the beginning with God. And
according to John 1:14 it is mentioned that ‘the word’ was made flesh and dwelt
among us full of grace and truth. But in this regard one point should be clarified
that whether God himself descended in this world or ‘the word’, which was with
God, came in this world in the human form? So before going into the further first
we should know our selves which is the correct in these two questions. If we pay
heed on the exhortations of Jesus it can be well ascertained that the Alimghty
Jehovah did not descend in this world but ‘the word’, which was with God, came
in this world. Because Jesus himself exhorts several times that neither he came of
himself but his Father sent him and your Father is in heaven, further he says that
"Abba, Father that he went unto his Father". In this way Jesus made a lot of
exhortations during his ministry. Contrary to this if one imagine Jesus as incarnation as Jehovah, then the message of Gospels becomes false so also Jesus becomes a liar (God may forbid). If it is believed that Jehovah himself had descended in the form of Jesus then all his exhortations proved wrong. But as regards to Jesus one cannot think of him as a cheat. He is the righteous and honest and there is no guile in him. Therefore ‘the word’, which was with God in the biginning, descended in this world. And according to the preachings of Jesus it becomes crystal clear that Jehovah did not incarnate in the form of Jesus.
How can be the ‘word’ regarded as god?, is the very important questian. The
answer for this question is that just as the kings, judges, Moses, prophets and the
Devil is called as the gods according to their ranks of different categories, with
which they had been conferred with, so also the word called as god. As mentioned
in the above the meaning of God is ‘The worthy of worship’ and ‘The
Lord’. Therefore just as they called as the gods according to their charecterestic
features similarly according to the special aptitude the ‘word’ should also be regarded
as god.
The Creator God was alone before the creation of the universe, when He
intended to bring into existence of the universe He used a means in order to
produce the creation from void. That is the command of God. This is to mean as
saying that the command of God came into the existence before all things in the
beginning. That is why the ‘word’ called as god. The reason of the ‘word’ to be
called as god is that by virtue of it possessed the capability of accomplishment the
aspiration of God. And here the question is that where was the ‘word’, which is
called as the god means the command of God? The answer of the Bible is...
The same (The word, which is the god) was in the beginning
with God -John1:2
This is the answer of the Bible. Actually where should be the word? It should
be only with him, who intends to speak out, similarly the command was with the
creator Jehovah and what happened by this ‘word’?
All things were made by him (The commandment, which
is the word) and with out him (The word which is the
commandment) was not any thing made was made -John 1:2-3
Thus the whole creation including the Sky, Earth, Sun and Moon and all
planets and every thing came into existence by means of His commanded word.
For example observe the following verses.
And God said, let there be light and there was light -Genesis 1:3
And God said let there be lights in the firmament of the
heaven to devide the day from the night: and let them be
for signs and for seasons and for days and years. And let
them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give
light upon the earth: and it was so -Genesis 1:14-15
And God said let the waters bring forth abundantly the
moving creature that hath life and fowl that may fly above
the earth in the open firmament of heaven -Genesis 1:20
We can see a lot of verses in the Bible as mentioned in the above. In the above
references the common point is that the cretor Jehovah has bestowed the existence
to the every creature in the universe by his spoken word or the commandment.
