To be worshipped of? or to be imitated by?
If we ask this question to the present christian scholars as what for Jesus had
been sent in to this world they give different types of answers and we can find
vast varience in their opinions . Some answer that God has sent him to be worshipped
of while some say that God has sent him for ‘The Atonement’ of our
sins and such like various answers regarding him. Can these various answers be
true in the case of one person? And let us see what was the chief objective of
God in sending Jesus to this world and what should be our basic communion with
Jesus .So observe the the following verse , in which God himself gives the answer
to these questions.

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud over shadowed
them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, this
is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased; here ye
him. -Matthew 17:5

On careful examination of the above verse the following points come in to light.

1.The creator God himself speaks.
2. God introduces Jesus to the common people that what type of the basic communion should they maintain with Jesus.
3.And not only this ,but also explains that what is the basic communion of Jesus with God.

In this vesre it is mentioned “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON” to mean as
‘dear’ ‘intimate’ and ‘blessed person ect... .Is this type of terminology used only
in the case of Jesus? No, but was used for many Holy persons, who had been
sent by God before the time of Jesus. For example let us observe in the following
verse what David says about himself.

The Lord hath said unto me, thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee. -Psalms 2:7

In this verse God says about David “THOU ART MY SON” So does it
mean in literal sense that David was really the begotten son of God ? Never
,because in this verse God had used such dialogue to express the nearness and
affection with David. And this is not the case only with David and Jesus, but also
all Israelites had been called by God so.

From the earlier verse we can find an imortant point that “HEAR YE HIM”
this word basically shows the communion between Jesus and us.What is that
communion? Those who are having the belief in Jesus should hear his words. This
is to mean that those who wish the salvation through Jesus should only obey the
orders and teachings of Jesus Christ, but one should not worship him as do the
present christians. Because we can not find any where in the techings of Jesus
that one should worship him in the capacity of God and we can not see any where his disciples to have worshiped him in the capacity of God. Therefore let us
observe in the following vesrse what Jesus says himself in order to keep the
communion with him.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life.-John 5:24

Jesus makes clear in the above verse that what type of communion should one
maintain with him. What is that communion? Jesus explains in the above verse
that one should hear him but he did not say any where in the space of three and
half years of his Gospel preaching saying as ‘Worship me’. As a matter of fact ,
the precious message of Gospels is that we should hear the word of Jesus and
obey him. So let us see some other Biblical references relating to this matter.

Verily, verily, say unto you, if a man keep my saying, he
shall never see death. -John 8:51

Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he
will keep my words: and my Father will love him. -John 14:23

He that loveth me not keepth not my sayings. -John 14:24

He that rejecteth me, and recieveth not my words, hath one
that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same
shall judge him in the last day -John 12:48

Jesus makes clear in the above verse that what are the privileges for, those
who believe and follow according as to his word . One who is born as a man
wishes for the kingdom of heaven , which can not be attained without love on
Jehovah and Jesus. So also if one wants to be loved by Jehovah one should hear
Jesus’ word. So also if one wants to be loved by Jesus then also according to
Jesus’ word that one should recorrect his belief and attitude. Because the Judgement
day will be terrible . So if one wishes to escape from that frightful judgement
day and enter into the Kingdom of heaven one should always be loyal to the
teachings of Jesus. To obtain all these advantages should one worship Jesus in the
capacity of God as do christians? or should hear his words and obey him?
